Approximation of radiative transfer for surface spectral features

چکیده

Remote sensing hyperspectral and more generally spectral instruments are common tools to decipher surface features in Earth Planetary science. While linear mixture is the most approximation for compounds detection (mineral, water, ice, etc...), transfer of light atmospheric medium highly non-linear. The exact simulation non-linearities can be estimated at very high numerical cost. Here I propose a simple non-linear form (that includes regular area mixture) radiative approximate feature. demonstrate that this analytical able grain size intimate dependence features. In addition, same effect Martian mineral aerosols. Unfortunately, aerosols complex (water droplet, water soot,...) not expected follow trend.

Hyperspectral Images Classification by Combination of Spatial Features Based on Local Surface Fitting and Spectral Features

Hyperspectral sensors are important tools in monitoring the phenomena of the Earth due to the acquisition of a large number of spectral bands. Hyperspectral image classification is one of the most important fields of hyperspectral data processing, and so far there have been many attempts to increase its accuracy. Spatial features are important due to their ability to increase classification acc...

Parabolic Approximation, Radiative Transfer and Time Reversal

We first present a new formulation of parabolic approximation of the Maxwell equations for heterogeneous dielectric materials. We then discuss rigorous results about selfaveraging scaling limits of parabolic waves in terms of the Wigner distribution function. Among the 6 possible scaling limits two are exactly solvable. We use the Green function to analyze the time reversal operation in turbule...

Four-stream isosector approximation for canopy radiative transfer

[1] This study develops an analytical four-stream isosector approximation for solar radiative transfer in a homogeneous canopy, based on the approximation of four spherical sectors of isotropic intensities (constant values for light intensities). Compared to results from a multilayer radiative transfer model, the four-stream isosector approximation substantially improves the accuracy in calcula...

Wavelet Radiative Transfer and Surface Interaction

Recently, there has been considerable interest in the representation of radiance in terms of wavelet basis functions. We will present a coordinate system called Nusselt coordinates which, when combined with wavelets, considerably simplifies computation of radiative transport and surface interaction. It also provides straightforward computation of the physical quantities involved. We show how to...

Solution of the Radiative Transfer Equation in the Separable Approximation

A method for the fast and accurate solution of the radiative transfer equation in plane-parallel media with coherent isotropic scattering is presented. This largely analytical approach uses the formalism of meromorphic functions in order to obtain the total solution, i.e. the angle and depth variation of the radiation field. A discretization of space and angle coordinates is not required. For t...
